Some cheerful and sunny days,
Far from the gutters and alleys,
Silence all around.
An endless sky, dark and mighty.
Silently gazing at infinity
And, except for the crackling fire,
Not a sound.
Blindly pondering my existence,
Transcending the realm of the senses,
But something’s holding me:
Some ancient craving for solidity,
Some instinct of survival;
I’m prisoner of me.
Now, now, now…
I want to fly.
Yes I want to roam the sky,
But I’m struck down here,
On this fiery sphere,
With nobody telling me why.
Of course I like to have a body;
I can sense and I can see.
I can run barefooted in a field of green,
I can sing and I can dream;
But I can’t wait to be among the stars,
Away from this insane gleam.
Yes I’m a little stargazer,
A dreamer.
