With his School of life, Alain de Botton provides us with a constant production of fresh and simple mind candy, educative, animated videos, covering classical academics to daily life situations.

 BOZ’s: for comedy.

Under the guise of cynical, satirical humor, JP Sears manages to convey deep psychological insights and advices, mixing seamlessly his witty humor and a surprising sensibility.

The Question’s: For independent journalism

Eternal skeptic conspirationist, Corbett have provided us, for years, with his own type of open source journalism. In his, always well sourced analysis, circumvallating the mainstream’s media’s narrative, he manages to rigorously avoid all the classical logical fallacies that plagues the conspirationist sub-culture.

GRAAL’s: for atheism and rational thinking

Chris Shelton is an apostate Sea Org officer of the church of Scientology turned proponent extraordinaire of atheism and of rational thinking. With regular analyses oscillating mostly between debunking Scientology (and other destructive cults) and promoting rational thinking, he helps advance the public debate all the while producing educating and amusing (somehow goofy) videos on a regular basis on his webpage and on his Youtube channel.

In 2016, drawing from his experience in Hubbard’s cult, he published: Scientology: from a to Xemu.

Geeks ‘r Us: for geek stuff

Covering all the geeky subjects we crave for, here at Geeks ‘r us, Charlie create content that is educational and always timely. Having, likely, read all the comic books in the world, he provides us with broad stroked analyses and makes understanding, the various mythical universes of our heroes, a much easier task.

Professor Pragmatik’s: for science, technology and futurism.

 Producing one show a week on his Youtube channel, Isaac Arthur creates educating capsules about futurism and about the science related to it. Space travel, robotics, artificial intelligence, advanced mathematics, there are no subjects he does not master it seems.

Phackts’s: for hackers and whistle-blowers

Apparent Spymaster/hacker supreme for many years, Julian Assange is a very complex character. Probable intelligence asset, Assange is nevertheless an unavoidable personality in today’s information society. He deserves this years award for his involvement in the US elections.

Phackts’s: for alternative economy

For nearly 8 years Max Keiser have produced The Keiser Report, thrice a week. Providing front-end economic news and a string of guest, significant players in the field. Assisted of his beloved wife, Stacy Herbert, Keiser’s show is both informative and challenging. Well deserving the Phackt’s Omega Star for 2016.

Cinema Boulevard’s: for film and TV

  • Marvel Studio, Captain America Civil War. Once again Marvel Studio surpasses the cinematographic bar they, themselves set with earlier flicks, providing us with one of the best super-heroes film ever made. Civil War gave us the most costumed adventurers in the same film ever made, without sacrificing the intimacy necessary to develop the characters properly.

 MC2’s: for musicians

  • Kanye West, Life of Pablo. Once again presenting us with a unique, trend-setting masterful album, West’s latest iteration is populated with  this era’s top upcoming superstars, including hip-hop’s two most significant rising MC: Kendrick Lamar and Chance the Rapper. The latest providing us with his freshest track on record as yet.

Arcana Esoterica for The Craft     

Controversial subject, the Occult,  specially here in the Omega-sphere as we are mostly based on scientific realism and objective thinking. It is our perspective, however, that no subject of study must be left out, specially one as fertile as that of the Mysteries. Arcana Esoterica is also our most popular and fastest growing page.

We decided to award the Omega Star for The Craft to Marvel Studios for the amazing Doctor Strange movie. Loyal to Ditko’s original vision they managed to integrate revolutionary fractal technologies to produce a complex, yet intuitive, story filled with eye candy, witty humor and a variety of well crafted characters.

Omega Man: Gold Star – Omega personality

Throughout the years Joe Rogan have created a unique place for himself in the public sphere. Kind of a one man army, he have this do it all philosophy that took him to a variety of places. He is liked and respected by various sub-cultures assuring him a presence on many pages , here in the Omega-Sphere.

You will see him discussing a variety of subjects with a variety of personalities, doing so with the same confident yet humble approach.

Doing a great work, if only in bridging different part on society through his mediatic work, Joe Rogan is well deserving of this year’s Omega Gold Star.
