Robinson Project Manifesto: A New Ecological and Sustainable Way of Living

Introduction

The Robinson Project is a bold vision that reinvents modern living in harmony with nature. Located in the heart of Rio Cangrejal in Honduras, this eco-friendly resort is not just a place to relax, but a living model of sustainability and innovation. In a world facing ecological challenges and labor market transformations, we explore alternative lifestyles, where permaculture, advanced technologies and community synergy combine to create a future where prosperity and ecology go hand in hand.

Philosophy and Values

  • Egalitarianism: We believe in a just society where everyone has the opportunity to flourish.
  • Sustainability: Use of local and renewable materials to minimize our ecological footprint.
  • Synergy: Collaboration and sharing of common values to create a harmonious community.
  • Self-sufficiency: Production of our own energy and food for total independence.
  • Immediate economy: Minimization of costs through DIY, barter and the engagement of volunteers.
  • Home Automation and Technology: Use of central intelligence to optimize energy efficiency and resource management.

Resort Development

The Robinson Project spans eight acres of land, bordered by 200 feet of shoreline of the Rio Cangrejal in Honduras.

Step 1: Initial Installation

  • Accommodation: Installation of tents for the first inhabitants and visitors.
  • Energy: Installation of solar panels, a generator and possibly wind turbines.
  • Infrastructure: Construction of platforms for tents and temporary structures.

Step 2: Infrastructure Development

  • Clearing and development: Creation of roads, parking lots and fences.
  • Basic services: Construction of temporary baths, a garden and tent bases.

Step 3: Establishing Services

  • Advanced Housing: Construction of simple wooden cabins, followed by aircrete domes and monolithic domes.
  • Common Structures: Creation of common spaces (kitchens, palapa), a workshop/garage, a reception office, and a technology business with classrooms.

Step 4: Resource Management and Resilience

  • Water: Optimal use of water via a well and recovery of rainwater and recycling of used water.
  • Waste: Management of wastewater by biodigestion to produce biogas, and maximum recycling to achieve the zero waste objective.
  • Autonomy: Production of fruits and vegetables on site, with sale of surpluses to generate income.

Future Vision

Our vision does not stop at the first four years. We plan to continue developing the site with increasingly advanced construction techniques, such as earthbag domes, aircrete domes, and monolithic domes for maximum durability. Other planned construction will include animal shelters, cisterns and biodigestive septic tanks for efficient waste treatment.

A Museum of Permaculture and Sustainable Development

The Robinson Project aims to be a living museum of permaculture and sustainable development. Each project will be a demonstration and proof of concept of various methods of construction, cultivation, as well as methods of managing daily life such as waste processing and cooking.

Conclusion

The Robinson Project is an invitation to reimagine the way we live, work and interact with our environment. Join us in this adventure and participate in building a way of life that respects the planet while offering an unparalleled quality of life. Together, let’s build a world where sustainability rhymes with prosperity, and where every day is a demonstration of what humanity can achieve when it puts itself at the service of the planet and its inhabitants.
